"can i be the hole digger?

Gardening.... sweating, getting dirt under your nails, dirt on your shoes, and on your clothes, but the result in the summer is so tasty. Today as my dads idea of a fun saturday was planting squash in the garden. We had everyone helping (or standing to the side for moral support) Jacob wanted to be the number helper. his exact words were "dad can i be the hole digger and the planter?" Next is the tomatoes, but we are waiting for another day to plant those. We also had a few members gradually leave the planting party.... Josh and chelsea who went to go visit grandma (i should have used that one...) Jeremy who needed to go help a friend fix his car.... or jessie who actually never showed up for the party... Dad, Jacob and i enjoyed the bonding experience and i can say i helped with the garden this year... bragging rights? i think so :)
